WHITKIRK WANDERERS are the season's early pacesetters in the West Yorkshire Premier following their 5-0 win at the expense of Field Sports and Social on Saturday.
Goals came from Lee Womersley (2), Steve Jowett, Paul Graham and Chris Smith.

They are closely followed by newly promoted Leeds City who also had their third win with a 1-0 victory over Howden Clough thanks to a strike from Matty Johnson.

Otley
Town, also newly promoted, had an impressive 3-0 home win over Bardsey.

Goals came from Ben Greenhow (2) and Will Thorpe.

Wetherby Athletic and Beeston St Anthony's played out a 4-4 draw but Wetherby were 3-0 in front after 15 minutes with goals from Graham Richardson, Brian Ross and Joe Baker.

A fourth from Adam Boyce had them 4 –1 up at half time but Beeston came roaring back and were only denied victory by a last-minute fingertip save.

Pool also won 3-2 at Aberford - Jordan Talbot and Michael Evans on the mark for Aberford but a Dean Wagstaff brace and an own goal gave Pool the points. Knaresborough Town had a narrow 1-0 win over neighbours Sherburn White Rose with a single goal from Gared McGivern.

In Division One, Nostell Miners Welfare had a 2-1 away win at Ilkley.

A 15th-minute Mark Houlston header had Ilkley in front but Nostell gradually got a foothold in the game and equalised after the break through Neil Samardzija.

Darren Lupton then struck the winner ten minutes from time.

Kippax Athletic won a superb game against Featherstone Colliery 6-3, the hosts 5-0 up at half-time with a Nick Mooring brace plus goals from Mark, Richard Hepworth and Matty Weaver.

The fourth goal in particular was near perfect as Kippax put about 25 passes together before Mooring tapped in from six yards.

Featherstone got back into the gae with goals from Chris Appleyard, veteran Tony Lyman and a Mark Blyth own goal but the comeback was to little avail.

Robin Hood smashed Ossett 5-0 with goals from Gavin Crowther (2), Paul Smith, Paul Stafford and Keith Robertshaw.

Old Headingley are the only team to have won two out of two and they had a comfortable 3-1 win over Old Headingley with goals from Chris Street, Don Robinson and Adrian Shields.

Elsewhere, Old Centralians went down 3-2 at home to Pontefract Sports and Social, East End Park and Altofts played out a 2-2 draw and Woodhouse Hill were held to a 1 –1 draw at home by Hartshead.

in Division Two, new entrants to the league Oxenhope chalked up an impressive 10-1 win at Hunslet – making it three wins out of three.

Among the scorers were Tom Wilkinson (4), Jonathan Clews, Graham Holmes, Graham Robinson, Lance McNicholl and Nivard Trowery.

Elsewhere in the third tier, Joe Thorpe scored a hat-trick as Great Preston had a 4-1 win against Tadcaster Magnet Sports while Matty Oxer hit a brace as Stanley United enjoyed a 2-0 win over Baildon Trinity Athletic.
