Manager Graham Hodder is hoping to use last season's improvement as a springboard for Yorkshire Amateur ahead of the new Northern Counties East Division One campaign.
Level Two coach Hodder took over the management at the end of season 2006-07 when the club finished bottom of the league.
Since then, Hodder has done a sterling job bringing on the youth and encouraging a progression through the age groups and into the first team.
Most of the players who were so successful last year have signed on for this season and the squad has been bolstered by the inclusion of Ben Weardon, who has previously played in the Conference.
Amateur kick-off at Bracken Edge against Grimsby Borough on Saturday, August 9, preceded by a friendly against UniBond Premier Division side Ossett Town on Tuesday, August 5, kick-off 7.45pm.
Meanwhile, Steve Hart has taken over the management of the reserves and will be assisted by Danny Redshaw.
The reserves will start their Lancashire League campaign with an away fixture at Pontefract Collieries on Thursday, August 14.
