A first-half strike from skipper Steven Connors moved Bradford Park Avenue up to fourth spot in the UniBond Premier Division following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Frickley Athletic.
The winning goal came three minutes before the break, with Connors on hand to fire home to make it back-to-back wins for Dave Cameron's troops, who triumphed at Boston on Saturday.
Avenue are now back on track following a hat-trick of defeats before Saturday's trip to York Street, while Athletic are hovering just above the drop zone.
In the first division north, managerless Harrogate Railway came crashing down to earth after Saturday's FA Trophy win over FC Halifax Town, slumping to a 5-0 reverse at Newcastle Blue Star.
The north-easterners jumped up to top spot in the process.
Ex-York City frontman Paul Brayson fired the hosts in front on 23 minutes and Chris Emms doubled their tally 13 minutes later.
Then Stuart Nicholson, Brayson again and David McTiernan added to the misery for Rail.
