Leeds is lacking nice cafes

LEEDS used to have some very nice cafes, i.e. Betty's at the corner of Lands Lane and Commercial Street, Fields in Commercial Street, Schofields and Collinsons also had an orchestra.

Fullers in Bond Street catered for the "elite", their customers were dropped off in chauffeur-driven cars, then crossed the road to Marshal and Snelgrove to do their shopping.

Leeds is now reduced to "serve yourself" cafeterias and the price of coffee and a scone at Harvey Nichols is extortionate.
