A Leeds MP is set to meet with council officials, West Yorkshire Police and three Leeds universities to seek a resolution to anti-social behaviour and noise nuisance in Headingley.
Leeds North West MP Greg Mulholland said local residents and students have experienced high levels of noise nuisance disturbances and other forms of anti-social behaviour from a small number of individuals in the LS6 postcode.
The meeting, which will take place tomorrow, will look at ways to tackle the matter.
He said:“This situation has been going on for far too long without any effective solution being found.
“Both Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police have powers at their disposal to tackle these issues and it is important that they use these properly.
“Residents have been told for years that authorities are doing all that they can, yet the assistance they have received has been limited at best.
“It is now time for all of us to come together and find a long term solution.”
