WHO WOULD ever have imagined that record shops would still be thriving in 2016?

They seemed to be on their way out with the advent digital age.

But vinyl is still king among lots of aficionados, for whom vinyl holds a place in their hearts.

How fitting that a Leeds company devoted to the old 45s is celebrating its 45th anniversary with the launch of a special 45rpm single.

This is a good way to show that while Leeds is a 21st century hi-tech city, that doesn’t mean we have to lose touch with our past.

And while CDs and MP3s undoubtedly have their place, so does vinyl.
