YEP says: European City of Culture 2023 judges take note!

IF anyone needed proof of Leeds’s diverse cultural offering they should be handed a copy of today’s YEP.

Ink fans flocked to the tattoo festival, whilst rare grooves could be found at the record fair. Continuing the retro theme M&S, which has its roots firmly in the city, opened the doors to its archive to showcase its 1950s collection. Fifty was the number for the mini-carnival – it’s 50 days to the Leeds West Indian Carnival, which this year has its 50th birthday. But the biggest event of all was the 10k run which brought people of all ages into the city. Lets hope the European City of Culture judges are taking note!
