Letter: Quiet, please

I WOULD like to thank Michael Chapman for a wonderful concert in a local club in Leeds.

This was the first time I have seen him since I saw him in Scarborough in 1971 and he was then, and still is, a great live artist.

I would not like to thank the lanky streak and his “mates” at the far right hand side of the bar who muttered and laughed all the way through his performance despite several members of the audience “shushing” them. Is this a new fashion trend amongst the intellectually challenged?

I went to see Jose Feliciano in a London club not long ago and there were sections of the audience who were literally yelling into each other’s ears constantly.

If you are not interested in the music, do us all a favour and stay at home.

TERRY MAUNDER, Leeds LS5
