Letter: Fred’s still in the money

AS, fortunately, only a small shareholder in the RBS, how delighted I am to hear that Fred “the shred” Goodwin has been stripped of his knighthood. It is a shame he cannot be stripped of his massive pension.

The “I’m alright Jack” financial outcome in the wake of the chaos he left behind is nauseating.

This stripping of Mr Goodwins title was done by a cabal of meddling politicians - Cameron, Milliband and others who remain hidden. This can only be done by a special committee when warranted if the person involved has been in a crime or any other unlawful act. Mr Goodwin has so they are making him a scapegoat for their failings in not curbing banking excess's. Why have othe miscreants in the banking sector not been punished? This has a distinct smell of rats about it.

The unions took the Government to court about changing the pensions, and the employers CAN change their employees pension.

The strike by the public sector worker in November over their employers changing their pension. Has shown that something cancould be done about Sir Freds pension. But the millionaires get away with lots of stuff because they fund our political parties. The millionaires pay David Camerons wage. People needs to stop voting for the main parties and get PR, or nothing will change.
