Letter: Congratulations to volunteers
WHAT a delightful article about the PDSA in Bramley – ‘Love for animals inspires team to awards victory’ (YEP, January 31). I love the PDSA and I think it is just brilliant that the team of volunteers – all women, by the look of it – have won the ‘PDSA Retail Volunteer Team of the Year’. Judy Moore, ‘Key Volunteer of the Year’, sounds particularly impressive. Well done to her.

I give small monthly donations to four charities – Caring Together in Woodhouse and Little London, Save the Children, Imperial Cancer and the PDSA.
Back in the mid-90s, my mother had a poorly little cat called, Minky. She couldn’t afford vet bills and so qualified for veterinary care from the PDSA. They brought Minky back to good health and, when my mother died in 2000, Minky came to live with me. She lived another six years and died aged 20 years old and had a very good life with my family.
I would urge people to shop at the PDSA shops, donate unwanted goods and, like me, consider a charitable donation.
