An MP has been caught out fiddling taxpayers’ money. Now I see that Denis MacShane can’t be prosecuted, but if a member of the public did this he would be prosecuted.
I had a word with my own MP and he told me that members of the House of Lords cannot be kicked out of the House of Lords. They can be suspended, but they can’t be kicked out.
So quite a few members of the House of Lords have got criminal records i.e. Jeffrey Archer, and Conrad Black who is trying to get back in.
It’s utterly disgusting. I suppose Mr MacShane’s pension is intact. It’s beyond belief. If only we did live in a democracy.
