I would like to praise our wonderful NHS and in particular the consultants, doctors and nurses on wards 21 and 27 at the LGI where my wife was taken after suffering two big strokes over a week ago.
We thought we were going to lose her, after being told that not many survive the first 24 hours, but she did.
And the next 24, which again she did and after that it was steady progress until nine days later she is being sat in a chair for a few hours and is talking again.
She still hasn’t got the use of her left arm and leg but the nursing staff and doctors have been absolutely superb, and we as a family cannot thank them enough.
The people that knock the NHS should get real and see the work that 95 per cent of the staff do.
We are absolutely delighted and forever in their debt for what they have done for us and my wife.
