Did anyone else spot Gipton UFO?
"WHAT the hell is that?" questioned the voice of an unseen female. I presume this lady was witnessing exactly what I was on my street, St Wilfrid's Circus, Gipton, Leeds.
Whilst I was catching a fresh breath of frosty air out of my landing window at (approximately) 3am on the morning of November 30, I saw what can only be described as a 'milk-white teardrop' UFO, the size of a family car floating through the sky which, from my point of view, slowly drifted over Harehills Lane, down onto Rounday Road, then disappeared behind houses towards the Chapeltown/Potternewton area of Leeds.
Is there anybody else out there who witnessed this strange incident, any reports, CCTV or mobile/photo footage? There could be an innocent (or not) explanation...who knows?

'Good old Mrs T'
OK, Mr Nicholson, you win. You're quite right, Mrs Thatcher was a wonderful Prime Minister, loved by everyone especially the working classes and above all the miners.
The three million unemployed had nothing to do with her at all. The poll tax was somebody else's baby and under Mrs T pensioners had loads of money and could leave their heating on in winter with no fear.
Also she was not booted out by her own party, that was a Labour lie, probably that Prescott fellow.
Oh and while I'm at it Gordon Ramsay never uses bad language and Jonathan Ross is very funny.

Protect our beer
WOULD it not be possible to use the EU laws that Tetley's has always been brewed in Leeds and is recognised as a Yorkshire and Leeds beer to protect the name of Tetley's – and hopefully the jobs of the people who work for Tetley's – which should mean that Calsberg could not use the name of Tetley's?
If the law can protect Wensleydale cheese why not beer?
I am sure that this point has already been thought of by politicians but it would be nice if the people of Leeds knew about it.

Daylight robbery
LEEDS City Council – daylight robbery or what? They charge 1.60 on the open car park next to Leeds Market per hour. Yesterday, December 2, they could not even grit the car park. It was like an ice rink.
Maybe they could earn a lot more and hire skates out.
It's disgusting all one way traffic. They take but don't want to put anything back.
