BNP rule book is not the problem
WITH all due respect to Peter Marshall (YEP, October 29) the BNP's rule book is not the problem and fixing it will solve nothing.
Leaving aside the question of how dodgy their friends such as the Ku Klux Klan and similar racist headcases on the European mainland are, or whether Mr Griffin's ideas are barking mad, the BNP are a party of thugs who have swapped brown shirts and jackboots for suits.
Before Messrs Griffin and Brons start a real expenses scandal by blowing the money the EU pays them on plugging the BNP, something must be done about the legitimate concerns they are exploiting.
An immigration system that works would be a start. New Labour haven't provided one. David Cameron and the Conservatives will.

Further to editorial comment on November 3, as a tax paying, YEP-reading citizen of Leeds I was angered to read the biased, one-sided comment.
I was shopping in the city centre on Saturday and witnessed the events.
Not being a supporter of extreme politics of any persuasion, I am a supporter of freedom and the right to demonstrate (within reason) but by far the worst behaviour on that day seemed to be carried out by the "loony left" brigade, who it seems were left to run amok down the streets adjacent to Park Row, with lit flares in hand and making numerous attacks on the police officers.
The EDL seemed well contained in City Square without any chance of leaving.
So, come on, let's keep the journalism in focus and well balanced. It's the "cock-eyed" bias that gives sympathy to any extremists.
