YORKSHIRE Evening Post reporter Jonny Brown was today enjoying a well-deserved rest after successfully completing an epic cycling challenge.

Jonny, 25, yesterday (June 22) rode 190km from Leeds to Harrogate, along the same route that elite competitors will follow during stage one of next month’s Tour de France.

Funds raised are going to the YEP’s long-running Half and Half Appeal, which supports Leeds hospices St Gemma’s and Sue Ryder Wheatfields.

It is a cause close to Jonny’s heart, as his mother was cared for at Pendleside Hospice in Burnley before her death last year.
