Big-hearted staff at the Horsforth branch of Subway made 50 sandwiches to give to children and their carers.

The sandwiches were given out last Tuesday at a carers event organised by children’s charity Barnardo’s, which has offices in Horsforth and shops across Leeds.

The team who made the sandwiches were, pictured, franchisee Ian Dawes, Henry Scheifer-Simons, Amanda Wilson, Anne Appleby and store manager Stacy Naylor.

Mr Dawes said: “It seems only right that businesses should give something back to the community at this time of year.

“We’re happy to be supporting such a fantastic charity as Barnardo’s.”
