Firefighters cut a motorist from a car following a smash in west Leeds.

Crews were called out to free a motorist from a car following a two-vehicle crash on Armley Town Street at 12.18pm on Sunday. (June 2)

Paramedics were also called to the scene following the incident which is believed to have occurred between a black Vauxhall Corsa and a white Nissan Micra.

The incident happened just outside the Desi take away on the busy road.

A spokesman from West Yorkshire Fire Service confirmed that one person was trapped inside one of the cars and had to be released and freed by crews.
