Thousands of carnival-goers are expected to line the streets of Bramley this weekend.

Carnival Queen Ellie Kerrigan, 11, will officially open the celebrations on Sunday by riding through the town’s streets on a motor trike followed by a procession of bikers.

Former Black Lace singer and 80’s pop star Dene Micheal will take to the stage.

The parade is set to start from Waterloo Way at noon and the carnival celebrations in Bramley Park will last until 6pm.

During the day there will be belly dancers, zumba performances, sparring lessons from Bethlehem Boxing Club and tricks from Whinthorpe Majorettes.
