West Leeds: Armley folk urged to do their bit for clean-up day

Have your say

Residents in the Ley Lane and Mistress Lane areas of Armley are invited to take part in a community clean-up day on Friday, August 29.

Local Labour councillors have helped organise the day of action.

Skips will be placed outside 102 Mistress Lane, and at 2 and 70 Ley Lane between 9am and noon for people to dispose of any rubbish, including bulky items, litter and garden waste.

Housing and anti-social behaviour officers will also be out and about on the day visiting properties and answering any questions.

Following the clean-up event, there will be a Family Fun Afternoon at Ley Lane Fields between 2 and 4pm.

This will include inflatables and other activities for children and young people. There will also be information stalls offering advice on free college courses.
