spooky scarecrows have been giving visitors to a Leeds venue a fright this half term.

The Spooky Scarecrow Trail at Lotherton Hall in Aberford is being held until November 2 from 11am to 2pm every day.

There are also clues to follow around the historic house and a witches’ cottage. On Friday children are invited to arrive dressed up for Halloween and take part in face painting, storytelling and haunted tours.

Temple Newsam House will also be running a ‘Spooky Spooktacular’ tomorrow from 5pm to 8pm where children can ‘trick or treat’ through the rooms of the stately home and farm. This event requires pre-booking and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. To book telephone 0113 336 7460.
