Wakefield man wanted for breaching bail

Police are trying to trace a Wakefield man who has been charged in connection with a serious assault.

Steven Davies, 30, from Wakefield, is charged with grievous bodily harm and is wanted for breaching his crown court bail conditions.

Police said Wakefield District safeguarding officers would like to speak to anyone who has information about him.

Davies is described as white, 6ft, of medium build with short, dark hair. He frequently sports stubble and has several prominent tattoos including a red rose behind an ear and others of a Tazmanian Devil and a dagger on his back.

Davies is known to have links to Normanton, Pontefract and Leeds.

Acting Detective Inspector Dave Watts, of Wakefield District Safeguarding, said: “Steve Davies is wanted for breach of bail after being charged in relation to a serious assault offence. We have been conducting a number of enquiries to find him and I would ask anyone who knows of his whereabouts or who sees him to contact the Wakefield Safeguarding Unit on 101.

“Information can also be given in total anonymity to the independent charity Crimestoppers, who can be contacted on 0800 555111.”
