A charity volunteer’s quest to climb the 31 highest peaks in Scotland has led to a nomination for a £10k prize.

Rhea Ewen has set herself the task to raise funds to help the north Leeds charity, Older People’s Action in the Locality (OPAL) create a community centre.

The charity recently bought the former Bedford Arms in Ireland Wood and is currently underway with converting it into a community centre for older people and local residents.

Her efforts saw her nominated - and now shortlisted into the top 10 - for the Mountain Warehouse Challenge which could see her win £10,000 for OPAL if she nets enough votes.
