WARBLING wonderkid Ronan Parke swapped the TV cameras for the glamour of West Yorkshire.
The 13-year-old singing sensation wowed the summer holiday crowd at Castleford’s Xscape leisure complex with a storming four-song set.
Screaming girls welcomed the Norfolk-born sensation who sang his way into the nation’s hearts when he reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) earlier this year.
Yesterday he belted his way through favourites like Feeling Good and Because of You which he also sang on the show.
Speaking to the YEP afterwards, Ronan said: “It was really, really good, the crowd was amazing.
“It’s my first West Yorkshire visit but this was probably one of the best crowds I have performed for.”
And as to life after BGT, the teenager said: “My life has changed so much. I used to dream of doing this and now I am actually doing it.
“I still get nervous before I go on stage but I just hope things go well. And it normally does.”
Jodie Barker, 14, from Leeds, said: “He’s just so amazing and he hasn’t let fame go to his head.”
Ronan’s appearance in West Yorkshire was part of the culmination of Xscape’s summer season of activities which has been running throughout the school holidays.
Kirsty Jones, 12, from Chester – favourite song Edge of Glory – was one of more than 500 girls in the crowd.
She said: “He’s just so talented and gorgeous too. Last week I travelled to London to see him. It took me five hours.”
