A crowd of avid fans from around the world descended on Leeds city centre on Saturday to greet beauty-blogger and YouTube starlet Fleur de Force.
The ‘vlogger’, who shot to fame making YouTube videos in 2009, was signing copies of her book, The Luxe Life, at Trinity’s WH Smiths store.
She was greeted by a crowd of fans, many of whom had travelled far and waited hours to see her.
“It’s just surreal,” said 14-year-old Hannah Ledger, from Morley in Leeds, who had come with her grandmother Irene.
“We’ve been here two hours - I’ve been following her online for over a year. She was really nice!”
Friends Jolien Devlieger, 27, and Maranda Simmon, 29, had also waited hours to meet her.
Jolien had travelled all the way from Belgium for the event, meeting American Maranda who currently lives in Leeds.
“It’s crazy - today has been so surreal,” they said. “We’re her biggest fans She’s so worth the wait.”
Fleur De Force is best known as an internet sensation.
Her YouTube videos attracts four to six million views each month, and she has more than 300,000 followers on Twitter.
She revealed that she had stayed overnight in Leeds in readiness for today’s event - and enjoyed a cheeky shop before going for dinner at Cielo Blanco.
“The Trinity Centre is amazing!” she said in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“I actually think it’s the most amazing shopping centre I’ve ever seen.”
She describes her new book as “more grown up”, and said she had met a multitude of fans on this latest book tour.
“This is my second book, it’s more like a grown up, older sister to the first,” she said. “The topics are a little bit more mature.
“We’ve had everybody coming to the book signings - from an 11-month-old baby to probably about 60!”
