TWO men were injured during what police are treating as a suspected shooting incident in Armley.

It is believed a gun was fired at a barbers’ shop window on Cockshott Lane between 7.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday.

Two men aged 32 and 25 suffered minor injuries and damage was caused to the shop window during the incident.

Det Insp Seth Robinson of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around Cockshott Lane on Wednesday evening and may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or who may have any information to come forward.

“I would seek to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated incident. Increased neighbourhood patrols are ongoing in the area.”
