As previously reported by Digital City, the JigTalk app covers the photos of its users with jigsaw pieces that are removed as an online conversation progresses.

Now the people behind the app have teamed up with the Made Television network to create a first-of-its-kind dating show.

Presented by former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson, Getting Jiggy With Josie is set to hit TV screens in the spring.

JigTalk co-founder Alex Durrant said: “Watching our blind dating app come to life in the form of a TV show has been a surreal experience.

“The show encompasses everything we love about JigTalk – encouraging daters to lead with their personalities, bringing excitement back into dating and unleashing the comedian in everyone!”

The Made Television network broadcasts in Leeds as well as Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool and Tyne & Wear.
