Police want to speak to witnesses after a biker was seriously injured in a motorway crash outside Leeds.

The 30-year-old man was on a blue and white Suzuki GSXR that was involved in a collision with a black Honda CR-V 4x4 on the eastbound carriageway of the M621 on Friday morning.

The incident happened between the M62 exit at junction 27 and junction one of the M621 shortly after 7am.

The biker is in a serious but stable condition in hospital. No-one in the car was badly hurt.

PC Matthew Judge, of the safer roads and neighbourhood support team, said: “I would appeal for any witnesses and anyone who saw either vehicle immediately before the incident to contact me.” Call 101.
