Travel alert: Buses diverted in Leeds after road is closed

Buses were diverted in Leeds this morning while emergency services worked at the scene of a crash.

West Yorkshire Metro warned earlier that Low Lane in Horsforth was closed due to an incident earlier.

Police had been called shortly before 8.28am after a grey Mitsubishi L200 pick-up collided with a black and red Lexmoto motorcycle.

A force spokesman said a 20-year-old man riding the motorbike had suffered a suspected broken leg.

The road was closed while he was given initial treatment at the scene and reopened around an hour later.

First Bus diverted its 50a service along the 50 route while the road remained closed.
