A pharmacy was badly damaged when a tractor crashed into the building.

It is believed the driver lost control of his vehicle when the accelerator became stuck on Valley Road, Liversedge, around 10.15am on Sunday. (April 28)

The tractor hit the front of Shah’s Pharmacy, severely damaging the roof.

Police and the ambulance service were called to the scene and the driver was treated for minor head injuries.

Firefighters from Cleckheaton also attended and cordoned off the area.

Kirklees Council and Northern Powergrid were called out to deal with a street light which was knocked down and to assess the structural damage to the building.
