Driver hurt in M62 crash

ONE man was injured when a lorry and a car were involved in collision on the M62 near Brighouse tonight. (Tues May 3)

Fire crews were alerted to the incident just before 6pm on the westbound carriageway between junction 24 at Ainley Top and junction 25 at Brighouse.

The man who was driving the car was cut free from the wreckage by firefighters before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Queues built up after one lane was closed to traffic while firefighters worked to release the man.
