Cyclist in intensive care after Leeds A65 collision

A cyclist is in intensive care after being involved in a collision with a minibus on a busy West Leeds road.

The A65 New Road Side in Horsforth was closed between Outwood Lane and Hawksworth Road following the crash at 7.50am yesterday. (June 22)

It involved a 34-year-old man on a bike and a white Volkswagen minibus.

The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance. His injuries are serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.

The 60-year-old driver of the minibus remained at the scene to speak to police.

The road was closed in both directions and diversions were kept in place until it reopened at around 11.20am.
