COMMUTERS into Leeds faced another nightmare journey this morning after trains between Ilkley, Bradford and Leeds were delayed and cancelled by an “obstuction on the line”.

All services on the Ilkley line were halted just before 7am, hitting the morning rush hour.

There were knock-on effects on services between Shipley, Leeds and Bradford.

Northern Rail said: “Due to an obstruction on the line between Guiseley and Menston, services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed.”

Network Rail added: “There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 08:45.”

The obstruction was reported cleared just before 9am.
