Students moving into new homes in a Leeds suburb appear to be causing traffic delays today.

Metro Travel said to expect delays of up to 50 minutes to its buses in the Headingley area.

Its social media channel read that this was due to it being student moving-in day.

Although the academic year is coming to a close, many students let new properties from summer time before the new term in autumn.

Delays were also expected elsewhere in Leeds as Yeadon Festival got underway and because of a Royal British Legion parade in Pudsey earlier.
