SECRET SUPPER CLUB AT THE LIGHT

An exclusive speakeasy-themed secret supper club is coming to Leeds tonight.

With just 30 tickets available, the event will kick off at 7.30pm with champagne, a three-course dinner, live jazz band and dancers.

Guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion in 1920s attire.

The exact location will be revealed on the day.

Tickets cost £35.

TRANSFORM FESTIVAL

The Transform festival is coming to Leeds this weekend with bite-sized performances, ideas and late night events.

At the West Yorkshire Playhouse you can watch the people of Leeds perform in WANTED, or join two of Europe’s most provocative choreographers in Schönheitsabend at the Stanley and Audrey Burton Theatre.

The festival runs from April 22 to 23.

LATE-NIGHT MOVIE

Fancy getting out of the house without spending a night on the tiles?

Head to Everyman cinema at Trinity Leeds, which is hosting a late-night screening of Goodfellas.

The movie starts at 11pm on Saturday, April 23.

Treat yourself to a Big Apple Sour cocktail while you’re there to go with the New York vibes.

STREET PARTY FOR THE QUEEN

To mark the monarch’s 90th birthday, The Light will host a free street party – complete with live music, juggling jesters and food giveaways.

The free event runs from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, April 23, and will see the courtyard host the main event, with a jazz band performing throughout the day.

Visitors can take a seat to watch the entertainment or snuggle under a blanket in the picnic area.

A photo booth – disguised as a traditional red phone box – will allow snap-happy guests to keep a special momento of the day.

Food will include complimentary Mexican nibbles from Barburrito, as well as treats from Bagel Nash and drinks such as old fashion lemonade.

BANYAN LAUNCH

The brand new bar and restaurant at City Square officially opens to the public this weekend, with a special launch party being held tonight.

The £1.4m investment from Leeds’s own Arc Inspirations has transformed the former Post Office site into a stunning new venue.
