IT was a case of third time lucky for Chapel Allerton pub The Regent after it won a top Campaign for Real Ale honour.

The pub on Regent Street had recently missed out after twice being nominated in the Leeds CAMRA Pub of the Season awards.

Pub general manager Barry McMillan was delighted after Leeds CAMRA members voted it their Autumn Pub of the Season.

Keith Sunderland, treasurer of Leeds Branch of CAMRA, presented Mr McMillan with a framed certificate to mark the win.

Pub regulars nominated the Regent for the quality and variety of its eight different handpulled beers, including six regular guest beers.

Drinkers were also impressed with staff members’ knowledge of the beers they sell. Mr McMillan said: “It’s nice to be recognsied by people who appreciate what we do.”
