Who doesn’t enjoy a cocktail to kickstart the weekend?

Well some start early and a preview evening was held on Tuesday night to showcase what gin slamming, racy rum and vodka delights cocktail connoisseurs can expect at the forthcoming ‘Cocktail Experience’.

Held at Aspire on Friday March 3, it will literally have the best bars under one roof.

Eighteen of the city’s favourite cocktail bars will be there and have created a drink especially for the night.

City Buzz has had a sneak preview and looking at this lot you had better pack the paracetomol.

It has been known for City Buzz to dabble with a fizzy gin concoction so the Britz Spritz from Be At One was first choice with Kamm and Sons, elderflower cordial, prosecco and soda. You can almost taste summer in a glass.

One for an acquired taste would be My Caramel Romance from Malmaison, made up of kaluha salted caramel, espresso cream and milk.

And if that doesn’t finish you off then Clara, the offering from Pintura, using Death’s Door Gin, just might.

It is a heady mix of gin, pamplemouse liquor, lemon and grapefruit juice.

Leeds party PR gurus, Pink Gorilla, are behind The Cocktail Experience which is making a return following a successful first event in October.

Other bars involved include 53 Degrees North, Pintura and Revolucion de Cuba.

Director, Jordan Odu said: “Following the success, bringing back The Cocktail Experience was a no brainer. With additional brands and even more independent bars participating this year, the event has become a great platform for the city’s independents to showcase their talent in cocktail making.”
