Tea lovers in Yorkshire are sweet on tasty Tour souvenirs

Have your say

Souvenir Tour de France themed boxes of Yorkshire Tea are going down a treat with lovers of a good cuppa.

Five million Yorkshire Thé teabags were given out free to fans during the cycle race’s visit to the White Rose county.

And they have proved so popular that boxes of the bags are now changing hands on the eBay online market place.

Yorkshire Tea brand manager Tom Blair said: “Even though we’ve given away so many, we have seen through social media that not everyone who wanted one has been able to get one.

“We never expected such a high demand and are sorry we couldn’t give them to everyone.”

He added: “It was amazing to see so many Yorkshire folk come out to support the cycling.

“We’re honoured to have been a part of Le Tour.”
