Eva Lewis, from Guiseley, was given the surprise of her life when she was picked up at her home by an official from airline Jet2.com who took her to Leeds Bradford airport to experience a day in the life of a new recruit.

She spent time in the operations control centre, air traffic control tower, manned a check in desk and had a tour of an aircraft.

The trip was organised after she sent a letter to Jet2.com saying how much she wanted to work there.

She said: “I would love a job with them now but my parents think I’m too young, so this trip has been amazing.”
