Style on the slopes

A YORKSHIRE ski equipment store has taken delivery of the world's first-ever leather ski jacket.

White Stone on Harrogate's Cold Bath Road is one of only two stores outside London to have been chosen to stock the sleek black jacket which costs 499.

Store owner Jonathan McGuinness, who is a former assistant coach to Olympic skiing brothers Graham and Martin Bell, said: "Never before has a manufacturer been able to make a ski jacket from leather. But the Gore Tex and leather have been bonded together to create a fully breathable and fully waterproof fabric."
