Several cars stolen in a Fast and Furious-style sting at a Leeds car dealership have been recovered.
MPS Motors co-owner John Birley confirmed that 11 of the 15 vehicles which vanished from the Hunslet business's forecourt during an overnight raid have now been found.
They were spotted in the Hyde Park, Lower Wortley, Hawksworth and Woodlesford areas, although four more are still missing following the theft on March 15.
Logbooks and other documents relating to the cars have also been recovered from Hinckley, a town in Leicestershire.
The keys for the dealership's used cars which were not taken during the sting, involving a gang of up to seven men, are also still missing, meaning John and partner Marc Scott are unable to re-open the business.
Writing on Facebook, John said:
"There are still seven outstanding (cars), along with those seven cars are the keys for 99 per cent of the vehicles we have on our lot and vehicles parked elsewhere. We haven't been able to open our business yet. It's one thing stealing cars for whatever reason, but when the impact completely shuts a business down, well that's another! Please if anybody has any information out there that may help recover even the keys for the cars that have not been taken, this would be a massive help. So please share this post and hopefully somebody somewhere will find the courage to at least hand the keys in or leave them somewhere where they can be found. If you know anything, please do the right thing."
