Ski flights will return to Leeds Bradford Airport this winter after easyJet confirmed they will operate services to Geneva.

There will be four weekly flights to the Alps for skiers and boarders, and a total of 20,000 seats across the peak snow season.

The schedule begins on December 10 and runs until April 13, and tickets starting from £32.99.

Aviation director Tony Hallwood said:

“With the winter season upon us now, it’s fantastic to confirm the return of easyJet at LBA. Geneva is an incredibly popular leisure route through the winter season, as it’s ideally placed for ski and snowboard holiday breaks in Europe at good prices.

“As the region’s international airport, we are focused upon offering the very best schedules for all of our passengers to enjoy convenient access to Europe and beyond. We look forward to welcoming easyJet back at LBA for the winter season and offering their customers fantastic levels of service as they fly in and out of LBA.”

The ski routes had proved increasingly popular with passengers each year. Geneva is the largest terminus for easyJet winter flights, with 88 planes and 12,000 customers arriving each Saturday. The airline flies three times more frequently to the Alps than its UK competitors.
