MUSICIANS are invited to a speed-dating event to help them find potential bandmates.

Local music charity Cloth Cat will host the ‘Out of the Jam’ event at Old Chapel Studios in Holbeck from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, February 22.

Funded by Leeds Inspired and organised by music mentor Matthew Colmer, the event aims to attract musicians with different styles and of various ages.

Cloth Cat aims to support the new bands with advice sessions and the chance to access music courses.

Project co-ordinator, Mike Jolly, said: “It can take forever finding the right people. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling for them a lot quicker and we’ll see lots of new acts form and develop.”
