The first of 30 new aeroplanes for Jet2 have been delivered to Leeds-Bradford Airport, as the airline looks to support its biggest ever flights and holiday programme in 2017.
The Leeds-based airliner has agreed to procure 30 737-800 aircrafts from Boeing.
Phil Ward, managing director of Jet2.com, said:“It’s a major step forward for us to be able to add extra capacity not just to Leeds but also to other bases in the UK as well.”
Jet2 is also on a recruitment drive with the airline looking to add 1,000 extra staff.
