Events will take place this weekend to help a Middleton baby born with a range of health problems.

Nine-month-old Jacob Duffy suffers from an undiagnosed complex syndrome which left him with a hole in his heart and a number of eye conditions – as well as 12 fingers and 12 toes.

On Friday Beeston Social Club hosts a fundraiser, including a raffle, party games and face painting.

Then, on Monday, a family fun day will take place at Hunslet Nelson Cricket Club, on Gipsy Lane, Beeston, including a barbecue, bouncy castle and cricket games.

Funds will go to the Looking Through Jacob’s Eyes appeal, to build a sensory room for the youngster.
