YOUNGSTERS in the Beeston have been enjoying carefree days playing outside with the help of a city charity.
Better Leeds Communities has staged five weeks of activities on local green space for families from Thorpe Crescent and Intake Square.
Helen Simpson, play co-ordinator for Better Leeds Communities, said: “It has been wonderful to see children playing out together, talking to their neighbours and seeing their street in a new way.”
She added: “The support we have had from the community has also been tremendous, they have rallied together to help us make this a success.”
The activities in Beeston were organised as part of a National Lottery-funded project called Up Our Street.
