A Star of the snooker world will hope to bring a bit of pot luck to an annual sports quiz in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice.

Snooker legend and sports personality Willie Thorne will host the Moortown hospice’s annual Questions of Sport quiz and fundraising dinner – which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.

He will be joined by a number of sporting celebrities plus some new faces to present the quiz rounds this year at the glitzy Elland Road event on Thursday March 26.

St Gemma’s fundraiser Tracie Harrison said: “It’s the 10th anniversary year of this event and we’re looking forward to a great night with some sporting stars of the past and present.

“As well as being a great event, we’re hoping to raise thousands of pounds for the vital work of St Gemma’s Hospice.”

Charity bosses said the quiz is an opportunity to entertain colleagues, clients and associates as well as pitting your wits against other teams.

Tickets are now on sale and cost £550 for a table of 10. You can also host a celebrity on your table for a cost of £1,200.

To book tickets or for further information email tracieh@st-gemma.co.uk or call 0113 2185296.

St Gemma’s Hospice provides specialist medical nursing care to people with life-threatening illnesses and costs over £9million a year to run.
