Sewer collapses in Pudsey

The damage has led to Yorkshire Water closing Moor Grove and part of Littlemoor Lane, between Lumby Lane and Roker Lane, for safety reasons.

Spokeswoman Emily Brady said:

"Traffic diversions have been put in place but we would advise commuters to avoid this area and take alternative routes if possible. We're working hard to repair the sewer but as yet we don't have any definitive timescales for when the roads will be safe to reopen. Sewerage services are not affected and we will continue to keep customers updated on the progress of these emergency works."
