Have your say

It’s regarded by many as the toughest and most important job in the world – unlimited hours, no breaks and no salary.

Here at the YEP we know how hard mums work and we want to help to make this Mother’s Day – on March 15 – one to remember.

So if you think your mum is one in a million, we want to know why.

Nicola Furbisher, managing editor at the Yorkshire Evening Post, said: “We all know inspirational mums who seem to work nonstop to keep family life running smoothly.

“This is a chance to show your appreciation for everything they do – and possibly even win them a extra special Mother’s Day treat.”

For the chance to win, all you have to do is tell us in no more than 200 words why your mum is marvellous. Email yep.newsdesk@ypn.co.uk.

The best response will scoop a meal for four at the Handmade Burger Co in the White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds.

We also want to see your super-mum selfies. Snap yourself and your mum together and share your pictures via the YEP website or YEP Facebook page or tweet us @LeedsNews.

Entries and selfies must be received by Sunday March 8, 2015. Any entries received after this time will not be counted. Entries may appear in the paper and online. Usual Johnston Press rules apply, go to http://www.johnstonpress.co.uk/competition.

* If you’re a new mum or dad celebrate your recent arrival in our special page full of your photographs.

Our Let’s Celebrate page shares your pictures of those special moments in life - from weddings to christenings, landmark birthdays to new babies, retirement parties to first steps.

And we’re planning a winter baby special so if you have a new bundle of joy send us your photographs to be included.

Simply provide details of who is in the photograph and when your baby was born.

Email yep.newsdesk@ypn.co.uk, tweet @LeedsNews or contact us on www.facebook.com/YEP.newspaper.

You can also submit pictures using the special button on our website. See the ‘share your story’ section on the homepage and click on the photo icon.
