Saturday nights in for artistic kids

A YOUTH group has won £1,800 of funding from West Yorkshire Police's Community Trust to continue art, music, cooking and sports lessons for young people on Saturday nights.

The Urban Arts sessions, run by Youth Point at the Cardigan Centre in Burley, Leeds, cater for 12 to 19-year-olds and are held in Little London.

The classes, including graffiti art, music mixing and music production, aim to provide a safe environment for young people to develop artistic skills.
