A woman is trying to land a date with an attractive bearded stranger from her daily commute.

The anonymous lady - described as having ginger hair - regularly spots the handsome man on the number 33 bus between Otley and Leeds.

He disembarks at the JCT roundabout in Rawdon.

The lovestruck commuter took to social media to try and track down her 'rush hour crush' - so-named after a regular feature in the newspaper Metro which helps passengers track down the objects of their affections on public transport.

The post, seen on the Facebook group Leedsface, reads:

"I see you on the 33 to the JCT roundabout in Rawdon, you have dark hair and a beard many men could only dream of. I have ginger hair and resting bitch face but I'm nice, I promise.
I'd love to go for a coffee/something stronger with you."

First Leeds, who operate the 33 service, said they would even consider putting a poster on board their vehicles to try and unite the pair.

“This isn’t the first time that we’ve had romance blossom on board one of our West Yorkshire buses. We were recently approached by someone to provide a few words for a wedding where a couple had met on board one of our buses in Huddersfield – so we provided a unique poem and a free bus pass for the couple to enjoy after their special day.

“We hope that we can bring these two customers that travel on board the 33 together – and maybe one day they’ll be another bus wedding!”
